Web Review #1: Nourish Interactive

This website provides a lot of fun and interactive (and FREE!! :D) resources for nutrition games and tools as well as useful tips for parents and teachers to promote healthy lifestyle to their children.

This website can benefit Home Economics teachers as it provides informative and resources that are handy, such as printable nutrition lesson plans and nutrition worksheets, which can be incorporated into their curriculum. It also provide games that allows students to play at their own pace while learning about the importance of nutrition and balanced meal.

One of the many games found in the Nourish Interactive website is the Interactive Food Pyramid. All you have to do is just rollover the cursor over the pyramid and it provides information on each food group and the examples on food in each food group, for example, vegetables are foods like broccoli, carrots, green beans, spinach and corn. The instructions are very clear and easily understood.
