doughnuts doughnuts doughnuts!!

Not only food can be eaten with your mouth, you must first eat food with your eyes.
Good food garnishing and presentation may highlight the aesthetic appeal as well as the flavour of the food.

We were taught on how to evaluate students' food. Some points to take into consideration when evaluating their food products are colour, portion size, garnishing/decoration, shape, texture and flavour (it's alright...don't be afraid to try your student's food..)

One good thing to bear in mind when evaluating food is POSITIVE (+) MARKING (: give the students the marks they deserve (:

Task Question: Prepare and serve an attractive snack (doughnut) for a teenager.

I personally like this decoration the best. The colour of the doughnut contrasted against the nice clean white plate and i find the fruits at the corner cute (:
TIP: when garnishing with fruits, it's nice to serve fruits with contrasting taste and flavour, e.g., tart fruits and sweet ones

The jelly beans added some fun colours into the plain glazed doughnut but i do not really fancy plastic melamine ware :S
TIP: Always remind your students that melamine tablewares are not suitable for plating food

This is actually not a doughnut, but it is a cinnamon roll. The spiral effect gives it a very nice look though, serving it in a bowl in rather unsuitable.

I personally find this combination quite strange :S although it is certainly not wrong to serve doughnuts with raisins as garnishing..

2 doughnuts for one person is a tad too much for one person.
TIPS: Remind your students to always present one serving of the prepared food

Tomatoes and doughnut!! strange, strange, strange...and the tomatoes are jutting out of the rim of the plate. Quite an eye-sore :S

This is repeated picture..it's the same as the aboved one..opps..sorry

I actually love this!! the doughnut is placed on top of some red, pink and white coloured heart-shaped sprinkles! very, very nice indeed. This actually reminds me of valentine

The doughnut is nicely decorated but the plate used is, unfortunately, unsuitable for a teenager..
